West One Care is building a safe, nurturing residential home in Hertfordshire where children and young people with complex needs can heal, grow and thrive.
At West One Care, we believe every child deserves a safe, stable environment where they feel genuinely valued, supported and able to thrive. Our residential home is being thoughtfully designed to provide a nurturing, structured setting where children and young people can build trust, develop resilience and work towards positive futures.
We are committed to delivering compassionate, child-centred care that places emotional wellbeing, stability and personal development at the heart of everything we do. Working closely with Local Authorities and multi-agency professionals, we aim to create supportive placements that give each young person the best possible chance.
West One Care is operated by West One Care Ltd, registered in England and Wales (Company No. 17093293), and is currently working towards full Ofsted registration under the Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015.

Once registered, our home will provide a full continuum of residential care, education support and therapeutic relationship-based practice — all designed around the individual.
Each young person placed with us will receive a tailored, Person Centred Plan developed in full partnership with their placing Local Authority, social worker and the professionals involved in their care. Plans will be regularly reviewed and updated to reflect each young person's evolving needs and goals.
Safeguarding and wellbeing are central to all we do. Our trained staff team will provide consistent emotional and behavioural support, building the trusting relationships that help young people feel safe, understood and ready to grow. A Designated Safeguarding Lead will be on the team at all times.
We will actively support each young person's engagement with education, enriching activities and personal development. This includes supporting school attendance, liaising with education providers and helping young people build the practical life skills they need for confidence and independence.
Once registered, our home will provide round-the-clock residential care and structured support. Staffing ratios, overnight supervision and sleeping arrangements will all be specified in our registered Statement of Purpose and approved by Ofsted prior to any placements being accepted.
Our staff will be trained in trauma-informed, de-escalation and behaviour support approaches. Robust risk assessments and individual behaviour support plans will be in place for every young person, reviewed regularly alongside their care plan to ensure our support remains appropriate and effective.
We will work proactively with Local Authorities, CAMHS, schools, health professionals and other agencies to ensure that every young person's care is joined-up, consistent and responsive. We will attend statutory reviews, LAC meetings and professionals' forums to ensure each child's voice is heard.
Our home will be specifically designed to care for young people aged 8–18 whose needs span a range of social, emotional, behavioural and developmental areas.
